Prepare for Dragon Hunt 🐉 2024 (Part 1)

Greetings, 2024!

As 2023 is behind us, I just want to leave here some thoughts and reflections of many things that have been going on to me personally last year and then share some plans of myself moving forward.

Fewer travels this year, but more valuable times

Biggest changes

With most many people, jumping to a new job can be undoubtedly considered a big rotation that deeply affects one's life. Yep, that was what happened to me back in March. But the craziest part is: Not only I have a new job, but also a whole new career shift (not really a whole new, I will tell you why soon).

I have always been a avid gamer, though I don't frequently play games as much as other "infamous" players around the globe as you might think, but spending time researching technologies related to how games are made and how games are designed feels extremely fascinated to me. That passion for almost 6 years since my college had finally emerged inside out somehow on one day, becoming so powerful that "it" told me to just taking a leap of faith and apply the hell out of any game developer jobs I could find online. So quickly, I did become one, and up until now have been working full-time as a Unity Developer for 9 months already in a not-so-well-known game company, happy!

Of course, not that kind of happiness, struggling to learn new game developement skills is still a thing, even though I have an acceptable coding skills and technologies background. The main victory is that I have decided to move a way from being a grave and swaggy Data Engineer to be a normal game developer and still feel good and have a pretty vast passion moving forward! (don't too believe in what you read, I am still in the mix of clear "slashes" vague vision of where to go next😂).

Hey You! - My first ever Game Jam submission - Full of bugs

Being in current state helps me find more times to actually plan and work toward multiples goals and even able to enjoy pleasures with love ones along the way, yay! Throughout the year 2023, what I have achieved is not something exceptionally spectacular, but putting numbers in front of those tiny successes makes them worth celeberating!
  • Become a Game Developer after 6 years of Java/Data Engineer
  • Travel to 4 different places
  • Start a Youtube channel with 7 published videos with 11 subs
  • Learn new programming language Rust + Bevy framework in just 2 weeks
  • Rank #58 on Bevy Game Jam (me proud!) - Play my game here
  • Uncountable moments of joy that I will keep it in me
I have recently re-polished my own Github profile. If you can follow me, I would be greatly appreciate! Speaking of polishing, I should probably arrange some times taking a look at myself in the mirror too... eh... Now, the goals of this year!
